I am teaching applique at the New Zealand Symposium held in Christchurch in October. There are three classes all with a different technique, over my years of quilt making I have played with many different ways to applique. Fusible, freezer paper, needle turn, starch, glues, etc, etc...... through all that trial and error I have now found the techniques that suit me.

Starting the quilting on the Winterwood Quilt! It is so exciting to get to this stage.
Basting was always a daunting part of quilt making that I rushed through, but now that I have found a way to baste while sitting down (without getting down on the floor, or standing for ages). I take my time to get the quilt basted, even enjoying the process.......
