It's been a great mail day today! I have received my copy of the Today's Quilter Magazine (issue 38) with my Vintage Nine Patch quilt pattern inside. What a treat it is to see all the lovely pictures they have taken of my quilt.

I have had some time out from the blog......and all other social media. Taking a break from cyber space while I work hard on some secret squirrel projects. I can't wait to show you all the things I have been up to, but unfortunately you will have to wait a while.
However I am getting excited about getting back to some of the projects I have had to put on hold. I will be making some class samples which will be fun, I have several classes booked for later this year. I am looking forward to getting out and about, and sharing with you all.

I have made a lot of progress on my blocks for the BOM 2018 quilt. Making all four corner applique blocks. I now have all the blocks done, ready to sew the quilt top together.

Well would you believe we are up to block four of the BOM 2018 ! Where does the time go........ I love seeing all the wonderful pictures of this quilt in progress over on the Sharon Keightley Quilts Facebook group. Your quilts are all so wonderfully beautiful, love the colours you have chosen.

I am trilled to have another quilt in the Today's quilter magazine issue 34. The quilt is called Cat's Cradle, it used the cat's cradle block hence the name. Today's Quilter have done an amazing job of the photo shoot for the quilt and I am so glad I can share these gorgeous photos with you.

Grandmothers Star Quilt Pattern is the latest pattern for the Small Wonders Quilt Pattern Club. This little quilt is made from a simply cute little block called Grandmothers Choice. A few more simple small blocks and careful colour placement finished off the quilt design.

I have been missing in action for a few days....... do you get withdrawal symptoms when you don't get to sew?... I do. Seriously I'm addicted!
Today is a good day, I am in my happy place at the sewing machine. My machine is cleaned and oiled, with a new needle and I am ready to go.

Loving the way this fabric fits perfectly with the Nine patch blocks I have been busy making. Love the subtle colours. I think I'll call this quilt 'Vintage Nine Patch'.
