Well, would you believe we are up to block four of the BOM 2018 ! Where does the time go........
I love seeing all the wonderful pictures of this quilt in progress over on the Sharon Keightley Quilts Facebook group. Your quilts are all so wonderfully beautiful, love the colors you have chosen.
Block three is a pieced block with an applique flower in the center. I have used browns, blue's and Reds with a splash of chrome/gold in the center. The Flying Geese blocks use the same method as with the Snowball blocks. If you missed seeing how I sewed my Snowball blocks you can read about it here.
I will leave you with a picture of my blocks. This month I will be working on the applique blocks for the corners of the quilt.
Happy Stitching
Sharon

Good day,
The BOM 2018 is so beautiful, may I ask for the first 4 blocks pattern.
I just received an email for block five of BOM 2018. I’m just wondering how I can get the rest of the blocks as well as any instructions i need with material requirements. Thanks Shelley-Anne
How to press a Flying Geese Border ? This is the question I was asked so I have done my best to answer as it is not exactly what you might be expecting to see. Read more to see how I pressed the seams to get nice flat intersections.
Making four Flying Geese units at a time is a great time saver, and a wonderful method. I love to oversize the units and trim them down to the correct size for perfect blocks. Read how I go about making these versatile units that I use in almost every quilt I make.
