Hello everyone
I am excited to get started on a sew-along from my book Autumn Bouquet. I have given a lot of thought as to which quilt to start with, one of my all-time favorites is the treasures from the scrap bin pattern. As I will be re-making the quilt, this is the one I have chosen to start with. I am making mine as a Xmas gift, I hope you will join me in making this fun quilt. Please bear with me as this is the first time I have done a Sew Along and I am learning along the way, I am sure it will be a lot of fun.
There will be giveaways at the beginning and during the Sew Along, leave comments and pictures to join in the fun.
Giveaways are generously sponsored by Martingale Publishing and Sentimental Stitches.
You can follow along on the Sew Along via my blog posts, Facebook group and Instagram. There will be a hashtag on Instagram #treasuresfromthescrapbin you can post to or you can join my Facebook group so you can post your pictures there and share with everyone else in the group.
If you are signed up to my newsletter all information will be posted in the newsletters.
You will need to have a copy of my book Autumn Bouquet, for the Sew Along. You can find the book online a Martingale or Amazon or here on my website.

I`m looking forward to this sew along. I think I will find a box to keep my fabrics and the copy of my lovely book.
Thank you for organizing this sew-along! I have my copy of Autumn Bouquet and plenty of scraps, and I’m looking forward to participating.
How to press a Flying Geese Border ? This is the question I was asked so I have done my best to answer as it is not exactly what you might be expecting to see. Read more to see how I pressed the seams to get nice flat intersections.
Making four Flying Geese units at a time is a great time saver, and a wonderful method. I love to oversize the units and trim them down to the correct size for perfect blocks. Read how I go about making these versatile units that I use in almost every quilt I make.

I very much would like to do this sew along with you, but would like to make it in a similar colorway as you have. I love this quilt! But I’m not sure how to pick fabrics (ie: what type or genre for lack of a better word) to make it come out this way. I know it is scrappy, but I don’t have scraps like this. Is this something you will be addressing to the group? Or could you maybe give me some pointers please? Thank you!
