Sew Along ! Treasures from the scrap bin

Hello everyone
I am excited to get started on a sew-along from my book Autumn Bouquet. I have given a lot of thought as to which quilt to start with, one of my all-time favorites is the treasures from the scrap bin pattern. As I will be re-making the quilt, this is the one I have chosen to start with. I am making mine as a Xmas gift, I hope you will join me in making this fun quilt. Please bear with me as this is the first time I have done a Sew Along and I am learning along the way, I am sure it will be a lot of fun.
There will be giveaways at the beginning and during the Sew Along, leave comments and pictures to join in the fun.

Here is how the Sew-along is set out.
Starting date 10th October 2019 the first giveaway to get you started!
Week One 17th October will be collecting supplies and gathering the fabrics, looking at how to use what you have including your scraps.
Week Two 24th October Making the Shoo Fly blocks.
Week Three 31st October Assembling the quilt top. Giveaway from Sentimental Stitches.
Week Four 16th October Piecing the borders.
Week Five 7th November Adding the applique.
Week Six 14th November Finishing the quilt, tips on quilting and adding the binding.

I very much would like to do this sew along with you, but would like to make it in a similar colorway as you have. I love this quilt! But I’m not sure how to pick fabrics (ie: what type or genre for lack of a better word) to make it come out this way. I know it is scrappy, but I don’t have scraps like this. Is this something you will be addressing to the group? Or could you maybe give me some pointers please? Thank you!
