Wildflower Quilt Pattern Giveaway

Wildflower Quilt Pattern Giveaway

The last giveaway for the Birds in a Bluebird Tree Quilt Kit was so much fun! I loved reading all your stories.........

This week I decided we should do it all again. The Wildflower Quilt PDF Pattern is this week's giveaway!!!

It was so great to share with you all our stories of how our quilting addiction began, I am sure you all loved reading them. For the Wildflower quilt giveaway, you will need to comment on the Pine Valley Quilts blog sharing what your favorite part of the process of making quilts is....... you all know what my favorite part is.....`Applique' LOL Oh but I do like to mix it up with some piecing too.

You can find more of my patterns here

Read next week's blog post on Monday 10th April to find out the lucky winner!

Happy Stitching

Sharon

This week my focus has been to progress and hopefully finish the borders for the Winterwood Quilt. Take a look at my progress so far.

I love quilting. Taking a flat, finished top and transforming it into a dimensional quilt through the use of machine quilting seems magical.

I love the planning, picking fabrics ( obviously after a shopping trip or 2) And the I like the cutting and placing of those fabrics followed by the recutting a more suitable fabric and rearranging again and again until it is just right. And then I simply adore the stitching whether by hand or machine until a finished top appears. And then I can repeat the process all over again!!!

My favorite part of quilting is getting caught up (lost) in the design process. Color, setting, and quilting — designing is so very stimulating!

Well, what used to be my favorite aspect of quilting was the simple piecing and choosing of fabrics, which I still enjoy, but now I’m extremely interested in appliqué, and hand-work of any kind. EPP is also a new interest and I will soon be starting a millifiori quilt. I would like to learn more about color too. It’s ALL just so much fun!

Ok… so I am an absolute fabric addict.. But my favourite part of the quilting process is first of all seeing a pattern that captures my imagination (and we are so lucky that we have you to do that for us) but then to select the fabric…. and do I buy just what I need… noooo…. it is always so beautiful that I might just need that fabric for a bit extra. But essentially it is the pattern that gets the inspiration and the creative juices flowing… and then my lack of will power that just can’t stop at buying just what I need!

My favorite part of the quilt process is starting something new. Ironing, cutting, and arranging all the pieces by size and color. I then look at it and promise myself that once I start sewing, I will finish in a reasonable amount of time.
Thank you Sharon !

My favorite part is the binding. Those last wonderful stitches before my quilt is finally done and can be enjoyed.

Every part of creating a quilt is my favorite. Seeing a quilt bound and with a label is a happy/sad time.

My favorite part of quilting the planning. I do love to use patterns but I do have a few quilts that I have made that have come from inside my head (lol) Right ow I have started to make a Star Wars quilt for one of my nieces. I have been having a good time trying to figure out what to do. From picking out colors, to figuring out if I am going to applique or just piece. After I am done with this one I get to make a completely different one for her sister. Using my creativity in this way keeps me out of trouble ;)
