This morning I have added the Union Blues Quilt Pattern to the website. I have used the Union Blues fabric line by Barbara Brackman to make this lovely quilt. Although I am sure you can find many gorgeous blue and brown fabrics in your sewing stash to create your version of the Union Blues Quilt.
Leave a comment telling who you would like to make this quilt for, to be in to win a free PDF pattern.
I had fun playing with half square triangles to make this quilt. Jelly Rolls are a fun way of adding to your quilting stash, they would work perfectly for this quilt. Although you may need to add a few extras in to finish the quilt completely.
You can find the Union Blues Quilt Pattern here
This giveaway pattern has been won by Diane Steinberger. Congratulations Diane !
Happy Stitching

I love the pattern and the blues. I would make it for my sister-in-law. Who loves all shades of blue
This pattern is lovely and I think I would make it for my husband and I. It would look fantastic in our home.
I love this pattern. The blue color is gorgeous. I would make this quilt as a present to someone that I know and like.
this is a gorgeous quilt. I would love to make this for my daughter. She loves blues and purples. And she needs a quilt for her bed now that she has her own apartment.
Love your Union Blues Pattern. I probably make the quilt for me as my family not quilt worthy. I could give to one of my quilting friends and I know they would love the civil war fabric.
This quilt is absolutely beautiful. If I was to make this quilt for someone other than myself, that person would have to be incredibly special to receive such a work of art.
My dad was a Civil War buff; I’d like to make this for my mom in his memory. This is such a lovely pattern!
I would make this quilt for my husband to use in the living room. It will look great on the couch
I would love to make this for my self/ but know allmost for sure that it will leave my home with a great friend as it is her favorit colour.
I have only been quilting for aprox 4 years and have given all my work to others.
I would love to make this quilt for my son and fiance as a wedding present
What a beautiful pattern Sharon, I love it. I would definately make this one for my daughter, she loves these designs, I can already picture it in greys and yellows. Thank you for the opportunity, hug for you from the Netherlands.
I have just been fortunate enough to find your blog and website. I love it!! I would love to win the pattern kit for the quilt and I would make it for myself. I always give everything away and have nothing to show fr my efforts. Thank you for your beautiful site and I will certainly be looking further.
Beautiful quilt. I think this would look lovely in my own home.
This would make a grety wedding gift for my son & his fiancé! Thank you, Susan
Beautiful; would make it for my grandson, who is in the U.S. Air Force, currently serving in Germany, because I think the quilt has somewhat of a patriotic flair with the blues and touch of red. Also there are not that many patterns that seem more suited to the male gender, but this is one of them.
This really is a gorgeous quilt and I would love to win and make it for my grandson who favourite colour is blue.
Love the blue and would be thrilled to win the pattern. Purchased all the blocks for Rambling Ways but haven’t started yet. I admire all you beautiful quilts.
This is a lovely pattern. I have admired it for a while now. It would be a thrill to win this.
Blues are my favorite! My daughter would need this one made for her new bedroom remodel.
Making a beautiful applique quilt like this Union Blues quilt would be a fun challenge. I love to make applique quilts as I feel like I am putting together a jigsaw puzzle and there is so much satisfaction in completing each block and know you have picked just the right colors to compliment the block and the entire quilt pattern….and mostly from my own stash. I would keep the completed quilt for myself so I can feel that happy satisfaction every time I look at it on the wall.
Anything blue gets my vote, and this is a beauty. X
I would like to make it for my daughter in law. She would look so beautiful wrapped in this holding my two grand baby boys.
This quilt is so gorgeous, to win would be a thrill. Thank you for the opportunity.
A gorgeous pattern, Sharon. Thanks so much for sharing with us all.
How to press a Flying Geese Border ? This is the question I was asked so I have done my best to answer as it is not exactly what you might be expecting to see. Read more to see how I pressed the seams to get nice flat intersections.
Making four Flying Geese units at a time is a great time saver, and a wonderful method. I love to oversize the units and trim them down to the correct size for perfect blocks. Read how I go about making these versatile units that I use in almost every quilt I make.
