I have been busy writing the Blueberry Patch quilt pattern. It has been added as a downloadable pattern to the website here.
I have enjoyed every stitch while making this quilt, including the applique border. While making the border I made a few videos on the applique techniques I used, you can find them on the Tutorials page here.
The latest video I have added is on turning the edges of my leaves. Getting nice sharp points without the use of glue, starch or stabilizers.
My lovely cat Benny has kept me company while I quilted the Blueberry Patch Quilt.
Happy Stitching

Benny has wonderful taste … the quilt looks fabulous! The applique border added so much and the fabrics used are a delight!
How to press a Flying Geese Border ? This is the question I was asked so I have done my best to answer as it is not exactly what you might be expecting to see. Read more to see how I pressed the seams to get nice flat intersections.
Making four Flying Geese units at a time is a great time saver, and a wonderful method. I love to oversize the units and trim them down to the correct size for perfect blocks. Read how I go about making these versatile units that I use in almost every quilt I make.
