Simply Red Quilt BOM was inspired by the Red fabrics I have collected. After sorting my fabrics by colour I found that the colour I had the most of was Red. (definitely a favourite colour)
Simply Red has a combination of (7) pieced blocks and (7) applique blocks including outside border block, with the sashing's made from pieced blocks.
The pattern for the Simply Red Quilt includes directions for quick piecing methods, invisible machine applique method that can also be stitched by hand.

Fabric Requirements
Over the years I have collected a large range of Red fabrics, mostly reproductions. I always knew there would be a Red and White quilt in my future. ‘Simply Red’ is the quilt inspired by them.
For the Red fabrics in this quilt I have used a selection of various Red fabrics with small prints. There is no formula to how many different Red print fabrics used, so long as the tone of the colour Red is compatible. There are many different shades of Red.
I chose to use background fabrics that are mainly creämy/white with a tiny red print. I have used two background fabrics in some blocks, but overall I used mostly one main background fabric.
You will need:
Selection of Red print fabrics: (4.5m in total)
Background Fabric creämy/white with a tiny red print. (3.5m in total)
These quantities include borders and binding.
You will also need general sewing supplies, and a sewing machine in good working order.
