Peacock Hill goes Kaffe Fasset

December 03, 2010 2 Comments

Hello Everyone I have been busy making a xmas quilt exchange. The friend I have been making this for has very different taste in colour to me, so I have challenged myself to make something out of my comfort zone. I have been a closet Kaffe Fasset Fabric collector, even tho I am not convinced these fabrics are my stlye I must admit there is something about them that does attract me.  Knowing that my friend is a lover of Kaffe Fasset I set to work to use some of the fabrics I have stashed away. I have reproduced my Peacock Hill Pattern that is available on my website. I have only used the main block for this little quilt but really happy with how cute it has turned out. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy. [caption id="attachment_279" align="alignleft" width="300"]

Today is a good day, I am in my happy place at the sewing machine. My machine is cleaned and oiled, with a new needle and I am ready to go. I plan to get busy finishing the flying geese units for the final border on my Vintage Nine Patch Quilt.

This month (January) the Small Wonders Club quilt pattern is called 'Rose of Thorns'. I am in love with this little quilt it has all my favourite colours in it and of course a little applique too. I think I'm also addicted to Flying Geese blocks, they are so cute in the border. Rose Of Thorns measures 22 inches square.
